我找到工作了！我要回马来西亚工作了!

前天收到新公司的appointment letter, 签了名。八月八日正式上班，同日也是阿辉的生日。对不起罗，辉！今年没得和你一起庆祝。放心，会再帮你补庆祝的！

终于找到了工作，虽然松了口气，可是心情似乎并不是想象中的开心。很奇怪吧！前一阵子我还在烦着找工作，现在已经可以开始倒数回国的日子。

三年半在新加坡的日子，说长不长，短不短。虽然不喜欢这边的生活，可是临别时，还是会有些伤感。一些朋友都对我回吉隆坡工作很不解，尤其是兑换率的差别。当然，当初决定回来，就已经告诉自己要调适心理准备，但知易行难。

但既然决定了，就放手去拼吧！别想那么多了！

荒废了部落格两个月，也不知自己在忙些什么，只觉得周末就只在“煲”连续剧，就这样混过了，有点颓废。

最近两个星期开始申请回KL的工作了。三年时间生活工作在新加坡，说长不长，短不短，但足以让我觉得回去有点害怕，不知现在的土木行业如何，薪金如何，我的选择是对的么。。。申请了几间公司，目前还没有消息，但希望不会让我等太久吧！祝我好运！

New Experience in Tender Preparation

I had been busy for tender preparation since back from my Chinese New Year break in Feb. To me, it is a new yet challenging and also stress task although the tender is not handle solely by myself. To meet the time-line, of course working over time is inevitable.

If you let me choose again, I would still in opinion do site supervision is more suitable to me. I am that type of people that not really good in paper writing and paper work preparation.

I have always not been given choice to choose. I suppose to focus on what I am doing now. However, as told by my boss, I am not so busy at the moment compare to the others. So, again, i have no choice, just do it. Boss, after finishing this tender, will you tell me to assist in other tender again? You always have thousands of reasons when ask us to assist in other works, which we couldn't resist. Please, I just wanna have normal life..

玉龙雪山风景区

去年九月的昆明，大理，丽江及香格里拉游回来至今，没心情写游记，就放些自己喜欢的风景区吧！

玉龙雪山风景区的确是我这趟旅程最印象深刻的其中一处。这里的河水，来自玉龙雪山的融雪。在水浅的地方，白里透蓝，水深处，阳光的折射照出不同的颜色，很美丽！虽然有人说比不上九寨沟的美，但我觉得可以到此一游尚算不错了。

我们早上的第一站是国父纪念馆，天气灰蒙蒙的，还下起毛毛细雨！

我们没在此处逗留很久，接下来就往台湾故事馆去。我们买了台湾故事馆的套票，TWD280一人，包括入门票及内用餐。

看到里面的一些场景布置，还真的让我缅怀小时候。

妈妈和小妹决定在19和20日到新加坡探望我们。这是我们三姐弟到新加坡工作两年余后，妈妈第一次到新加坡探访我们，她也为了此行特地更新了护照。

妈妈从来都不是一个爱旅游的人。她说旅游是闲人闲钱才可以实现的事。可是我们都知道爸妈不想增加我们的经济负担。虽然我们姐弟相继踏入社会工作几年，我们也常叫妈妈放下工作，到别的地方走走。但妈妈就是有理由推搪拒绝我们。前一阵子回家时，妈妈说附近又有哪个邻居突然去世，人生很无常。乍听之下，妈妈似乎有所领悟，当我们再游说她时，她竟然答应来新加坡走走！其实我们听了真的很开心。而较让我们失望的是爸爸不能来探访我们，所以小妹陪妈妈来罗！

妈妈年轻嫁给爸爸后，我们的家并不富裕。当然，妈妈也得工作补贴家用。我们姐弟上中小学读书后，她更不希望我们追不上别家的小孩，尽量满足我们。而我们能做的就是读好书。偶尔面对亲戚的冷言冷语，更让我觉得要读好书，塞他们的狗嘴。

大学毕业后，我就跟自己说要回到靠近家乡的地方工作。而工作过了两年多的时间，为了五斗米折腰，再次选择离乡到更远的新加坡去工作。虽然很不喜欢这儿的生活文化，但想想只是短暂的，所以还是硬着头皮继续在这儿工作。

这次的新加坡两日游，妈妈最主是要看看我们在这里的生活情况，顺便走走而已。世上妈妈真伟大！对我们的关心，操心永无止尽。妈妈常说以后当我做妈妈后就会了解她所说的了。我回馈她的爱远不及她给予我们的爱。我从不敢妈妈面前说我爱她，只是把这份爱藏在心里，爱要怎么说出口?

蜜月楼渡假饭店的主题都很童话式。我们选了最经济的《王子公主双人房》 + 九族入门票套装二人只需 2390 TWD ，还附早餐，还算蛮值得。

南投清境的住宿

我们选了摘星花园山庄的景观二人套房。我们抵达时是星期天晚上，所以是平日价1560TWD，假日价则相差蛮大2600TWD，附早餐。

我们抵达时逢星期日，属于平日价钱，所以没那么多客人。老板将我们的二人房升格为四人房，房间较宽敞.

花莲的住宿

花莲的水上民宿是我们唯一住过，也是最满意的民宿。之所以会选水上民宿是我的同事，丽莲强力推荐的民宿。刘姐真的是很热心。除了可以自己煮饮水，洗衣服，免费上网，还让我们免费用脚踏车，冰箱的小吃还一再叮嘱我们要吃哦！

我们选了最便宜的《水的蓝温馨双人套房房间》。假日1200TWD,平日1000TWD.既便宜又舒服。最怀念的还是刘姐的热情，还有她那浓浓的福建腔! 还记得我们的住宿费是在最后一天拨电话给她，她才骑电单车过来收钱。

台北的住宿

在台北期间，我们住在西门町的红菱阁大饭店和明日大饭店。之所以会选择红菱阁除了价格便宜，也是因为口碑不错。

我们住在红菱阁大饭店经济双人套房，仅980TWD，平日或假日的价钱都一样,只是没有包括早餐。我和辉都不是对住宿非常讲究的人，只要不邋遢就可以了，幸好我们的房间都还不错。

明日大饭店的标准套房则是1180TWD，,也是没有包括早餐。这两间房都是简单经济型的，但说到地点当然是明日大饭店比较棒！从西门町出口处2分钟可到达。

五分铺+ 饶河夜市

五分铺是台北著名的成衣批发中心，就像KL的河清园。这里的款式很多，琳琅满目，有着当前最引人目光的時尚流行。由于是批发的，衣服都不能试穿，也不太适合我，太前卫了！走了一下子就去饶河夜市医肚子了。

饶河夜市的入口就在「慈祐宮」旁邊，相当热闹！

这家胡椒饼是这夜市的招牌小吃，要买还要排长龙。

从野柳搭基隆客运到达基隆车站，约25 分钟到达，再转客运到九份，约1小时。

走在九份老街的石板路上，两边林立的店铺把路逼得很小很挤。慕名而来的游客很多，但是卖得最多的是旅游纪念品和当地小吃。如果你错过去花莲，你也可在这里买到麻糬，都大多大同小异。我只能说很商业化的人造古城，但喜欢摄影的爱好者，必会这里谋杀很多菲林！

木屐业是九份的地方特产，但我只买木屐磁铁.每旅游必买给自己的纪念品,嘻嘻!

My 2011 Trip to Europe

We managed to book ticket to London during Airasia sales between 15-17 Nov 10! We had booked the travel period between 25 Sep to 12 Oct 11 and the price for 2 pax is RM3618.

Initially we planned to survey and book other Airlines such as Emirates, Qatar, MAS or SIA for better deal. However, the Airasia promotion price is too tempting and we decided to take flight to London then take budget airline to our destination.

After we booked the flight, we saw from Airasia's email that Airasia will fly to Paris next year 14 Feb 11!Aish..already booked!

Now we can start to plan our itinerary to our next year trip lo..Countdowning..

野柳地质公园

第八天的行程：野柳地质公园 – 九份 – 五分铺 – 饶河夜市

野柳地质公园，除了是台湾最负盛名的地质公园，我们想一睹受风化的地质及奇石風景的真面目，看看大自然的力量多么神奇。

在台北火车站搭国光客运，一人96元，约1.5 小时的车程就到达野柳了。到了野柳站，我们问了路人，才知道需要从野柳走10分钟的路才到地质公园。

“女王头”是野柳地质公园的象征，我们只拍了一张她的独照，没能与她合拍，因为太多人了！尤其是大陆观光客，他们的“霸行”我们真的不敢恭维！就连拍照都可以吵架！保安人员都拿他们没辙！　

女王头修长的颈子因为长期的风化侵蚀，已经变得十分细弱。根据地质学家考据，依照目前颈部的风化速度推估大概还可以坚持10到20年，一旦遇上了大地震、大强风，女王头很可能就会因而断落，拜拜了！

看了地质公园的各种奇石，我们不禁要赞叹大自然的鬼斧神工。

龙山寺+华西街夜市

我们从淡水捷运搭至龙山寺。

夜晚的龙山寺香火鼎盛。

华西街夜市是电影《艋舺》的拍摄地，以饮食为中心，贩卖各式山产、海鲜、野味、小吃，所以没什么好逛。听说可以看到表演杀蛇秀及提供蛇鞭酒的店家，但我们都没机会看到。

台北阳明山

台湾第七天的行程：我们列入阳明山，台北地下街，淡水渔人码头，晚上再到龙山寺及华西夜市。

我们在剑谭捷运站附近搭客运到阳明山，天气还不错。

寥寥无几的杜鹃花，很多树都谢了，只有这棵最多杜鹃。

去阳明山竹子湖赏海芋，最大的乐趣是可以亲自下田采海芋！海芋的别名也称马蹄莲、野芋或水芋。换上雨靴或是农民的青蛙装，踩到泥泞的水田里，亲手拔起自己钟意爱的那一支，带回家，感觉应该很不错吧！我想，如果男生带女友亲自下田采海芋应该别有一番滋味吧！我忘了采海芋的价钱是多少，但不贵。我们只赏花拍照而已。我们在台湾几乎每个旅游景点都遇到很多新人拍摄婚纱照。当然，这里也不例外。

台中 - 台北（师大夜市）

从高铁台中站，我们买了两张往台北的车票。从台中搭高铁至台北大约1小时。

其实高铁蛮像火车的,只是速度比火车快.记得今年1月坐火车到昔加末喝艾绸的喜酒时,觉得大马铁道局的火车还不错!比起10年前到国家公园时半途,半夜抛锚时强的多了!

Check in明日大饭店后，原本以为晚上要逛华西夜市和龙山寺，但看时间还早，就用宝贝机打电话给我的中学同学，翠霞出来见面。我们把地点改去师大夜市，那里靠近她的宿舍，我们也可以逛师大夜市。老朋友久逢，当然有很多话谈，但知道翠霞当时功课蛮忙碌的，就不打扰她太久了。

在逛师大夜市时，还看到叶俊岑和小玉在拍摄节目，只可惜我们都不是他俩的粉丝，所以没去凑热闹，买了的小吃也忘了全拍下来！

翠霞说这卤味在师大夜市蛮出名的,所以我们就在这解决我们的晚餐.忘了挡口叫什么名的.

原來台湾的卤味是这个样的,跟我们大马的不同.有点像酿豆腐,自行选,还可以加面!

我的近况

一些知道我已注册的朋友都问我几时结婚。我还是那句话：明年罗！明年几时？我就说：还未定。很抱歉，到目前为止，还是这个答案。

最近和辉讨论明年的欧洲旅游。这一次打算背包游。第一次去这么远的地方，的确要作很多功课才行，最重要是先决定哪些国家。我们在五个想去的国家中 -瑞士，奥大利，捷克，法国和意大利，暂定瑞士，奥大利和捷克。结下来，就是往背包客栈网站取经了。

工作上，还是一样的忙和盲。年底了，是拿花红的时候了，再辛苦也拿了花红再算！我改变不了身边的人和事物，只希望可以调适自己的心情。倒数拿花红的日子。。。

十全十美 10.10.10 ROM

Date : 10.10.2010

Although the date and application for our ROM already fixed and settled 2 months ago, however, I still did not find myself over excited on the ROM event. Weird. Weird.

We drove from Sekinchan in Saturday afternoon and stayed in Taiping overnight. On that day morning, Hooi and I brought along our IC then proceeded to Persatuan Taiping Buddhist Temple which is only about 10 minutes from Hooi’s house. By the time we reached there, the temple was so crowded. The ceremony started at 11am sharp. Since we queued under No. 15, out of 47 couples, we waited for our turn to be called to sign on the so called ‘卖身契’ then proceed to exchange our wedding bands. The Register soon announced us as official husband and wife, followed by the Certificate of Marriage. I really felt that I had committed to marriage after the Register informed us to vow in front of him. I did not know how to describe that kind of feeling at the point in time. Maybe just like my parents said ‘长大了’！

Well, the ceremony was ended with all the 47 couples to take group photo so that the reporter can publish on the local edition in Perak.

Yeah! We had completed our ROM. Let proceed with next step of preparation…

FunFun 的婚纱照 – 摄于2010年8月28日新加坡

一些朋友在面子书看了我的外景婚纱照片都以为我怎么无声无息就突然结婚了，所以呢，在此澄清一下：

故事是这样的：
两个月前，我在佳礼论坛看到有人征情侣拍婚纱/情侣照，免费而且全部Softcopy会归还。与摄影师的太太，也是化妆师的Celest email 联络详情后，就选定时间拍外景罗！他俩是马来西亚人，在新加坡工作，也是Freelance摄影师+化妆师，原想回适耕庄拍外景，但路途太遥远，所以我们就选定在新加坡拍吧！

一大清早我和辉就到达Celest的家化妆准备，十一时左右才出发。刚开始时我俩的表情都很木纳，频频望镜头, 超不自然！摄影师Shawn告诉我们别望镜头，但我们。。就是。。叹气。。。一阵子后情况才稍转好。

放几张傻傻的，搞笑的花絮：

虽然只是半天，只是摆“埔士”而已也其实也很累，但也蛮享受的，或许是女人爱美的虚荣心作祟吧！看到截然不同的自己在镜子前的感觉还是很兴奋的！

不过我们签了的婚纱配套暂定明年拍，到时会比较有经验，比较自然了吧！

乌敏岛（Pulau Ubin）半日游

久闻喧哗热闹的新加坡有一个很偏僻，但逢周末就有很多新加坡人到这儿踩脚踏车的去处 - 乌敏岛。

一年前就要举办的乌敏岛聚会也拖至今年才完成. 就我们四人：Terrence, Adeline, 马寅和我，在TAMPINES Interchange集合,再搭的士到Changi码头坐船到岛。船票单程$2.50，船程约20分钟，只要乘客约十人船夫就可启程出发。

到达乌敏岛码头，就有很多人在招徕顾客租脚踏车。我们租了$S8 一天的脚踏车，一人一辆。这岛很像马来西亚的邦咯岛（PulauPangkor），曾在邦咯岛生活一年余的我很怀念那时的生活，浓浓的人情味，简朴的生活。

我们骑脚踏车到仄爪哇(Chek Jawa)，只可惜不是低潮，不然可以在沙滩上看到很多小动植物。

还了脚踏车后，就在冰水挡旁买椰子水解渴，Terrence 买几串红毛丹请我们吃。只可惜榴莲季节过了，不然我们就买山榴莲吃，哈哈！

我们的晚餐就在这岛解决了。这岛的海鲜蛮新鲜的，海鲜的价钱和新加坡没差，但胜在够新鲜！不过，跟适耕庄的海鲜比起来当然是适耕庄的价廉物美罗！时间过得真快，半天就这样过了。待我们回去后就告诉放我们飞机的 Lee Lian,让她暗捶心肝！哈哈！

九族文化村

我们乘坐九点半的南投客运前往九族文化村。现在也可从日月潭搭缆车前往九族文化村，不过我们住的酒店搭客运会比较方便。

把沉重的行李寄放在九族后，就开始我们的九族探索了。九族文化村是结合台湾九大原住民族族群的各项文化：泰雅族、赛夏族、邹族、布农族、卑南族、鲁凯族、达悟族、阿美族以及排湾族等九族，过后再加入邵族。此外，全园是规划分成三座主题园区：原住民文化、欢乐世界和欧洲花园，并在2001年启用空中缆车，搭载观山楼至欢乐世界的旅客。

室内和室外的游戏我们都没玩，只走走看看，然后看原住民舞蹈技艺的表演剧场：娜鲁湾剧场。

我们最喜欢的是欧洲花园，它有着很浪漫的名字，水沙连。它采用欧洲宫廷式的建筑，营造出典雅浪漫的气氛，还有小火车绕场一圈。

过后，我们就到台中搭高铁回台北罗！再见，九族！

第一次．。。做模特儿

上两个月在佳礼论坛看到有人征在新加坡及新山婚纱/ 情侣照外景拍摄，就问辉可有兴趣。他OK，所以我就与Celest(小桢)联络。问了详情方知 Celest 和她丈夫Shawn是freelance 的摄影师及化妆师。经过几番E-mail 及MSN 联络，我们决定在28.8.2010 星期六户外拍摄。地点都蛮随性，最后整个在新加坡拍摄的地点如下：

5月时，在E-星洲日报看到婚姻注冊程序即将更改。国民登记局（JPN）將在8月前，統一全国結婚注冊的申请手续，规定所有要注冊結婚的男女，亲自到当局索取注冊表格（JPN.KC02）、填妥资料直接交給当局，以及3星期后亲自取回经审核（SEMAK）的表格。

对我而言，实在太麻烦了！以前的程序，如果要去会馆或教会注册，呈上文件就行了，注冊表格不用亲自索取，负责人会帮你搞定，包括监誓，审核，只要付钱就行了。程序更改后得亲力亲为，直到交表格。6 月时，我爸要去瓜雪国民登记局，我就叫爸顺便帮我拿一张表格，负责人告诉他说新人需亲自索取，我听了后就“显掉”了。

我也知道我们的政府经常反口复舌，就拖到8月新加坡国庆日才回太平的JPN问详情。一问之下程序也不是很复杂。只需索取注冊表格，填上双方的资料，在监誓官(Commissioner for Oaths)面前宣誓，再交到JPN审核，盖章，就可交到佛教会举行注册仪式了。其实注册费还蛮便宜的：监誓官费是RM4，而审核表格的费用是RM20。换而言之，区区RM24 就可以娶个老婆了！自己也觉得不可置信！

注册的准备解决了，我们可以乖乖倒数10。 10。2010 的到来罗！

New Room, New Life

Finally moved to our new room in Whampoa last Saturday!

I didn't notice my belonging had become so many after 2 years staying in Singapore. I always tell myself not to have too many stuff in Singapore or I will face the difficulties to bring back all those things to Malaysia. I think I really have to bring back my stuff a bit by a bit for every trip I back to Sekinchan.

Again, my new room location is not very near to MRT station, that why is cheaper, $600 for 1 common room. This is also the room which I had found almost 1 month through internet by trying not to go through agent, in order to save $300.

Today wake up as per normal. However, when i reach to office is almost 8.30am. Compare to last time, i reach to site office 7.30am daily so that I had time to do more work (I hate to do OT until late!), and also no people will come to disturb me.

My new room, my new life!I hope no more house moving for my lives in Singapore..Indeed tiring

我找到房间了！

自上个月决定搬家后，辉和我就地毡式上网找房间。一个月多以来，网上的房子几乎请一色都是中介。打了很多通电话，都因为是中介所以没去看房间。

应该会有人奇怪为什么我不找中介：理由很简单，因为我不想给中介费。一间房间如果S700，我就得给房间半个月的中介费， S350。更白痴的是还有中介要加7% GST！太过分了！怪不得新加坡这么多人要产业中介！

前天终于让我找到一间房间，不需中介费。昨晚放工后看了还满意，就决定租下来了。以前在马来西亚工作是找房子还蛮容易的。不喜欢的话就搬罗！但在这边真的要三思，每搬一次就被“砍”中介费一次，实在不想浪费这些冤枉钱！

倒数着回马来西亚的日子。我好想家哦！

Time really flies. Now already coming to the mid of year 2010. I seems as do nothing. Go to work, back from work, sleep,eat and watch online drama, that's all. Don't know since when my life become so robotic.

When I filled up the application form to apply for Resident Engineer at site office yesterday, then I realized I already been working in Singapore for 2 years and 5 months. This job is the longest job I had been worked for since I graduated until now. The previous 2 jobs in Malaysia both quit after worked about 1 year. 日月潭

原本打算从清境回摘星后搭客运到日月潭，但摘星的老板有代理包车服务，一个人只需TWD250。我们也懒得托两个大行李等客运，就在12.30pm游客中心前等小黑司机，再载我们回摘星拿行李出发。
40分钟就达日月潭了。我们的饭店靠近水社码头，步行五分钟就可达码头了。
日月潭旧称水沙连，又名水社里，单听名字就觉得很有诗意。它位于阿里山以北、能高山之南的南投县鱼池乡水社村，是台湾最大的天然淡水湖泊。
我们向饭店老板买了两张船票，共TWD300，就往水社码头出发，乘船去了！

清境农场青青草原

从合欢山看完日落下山后，我们就往清境的摘星民宿 check in. 从合欢山到清境45分钟就可达，可是当晚雾蛮重的，Joe也小心驾驶。当天星期天晚上，游客不多，所以摘星名宿把我们的二人房免费四人房哦！由于雾气太重，当晚没得观星了。

一大清早，吃了民宿的早餐就在附近走走，很有欧式的feel。

摘星的花圃，很美丽，但有些我不知什么名字。

8.30AM就搭摘星的车往清境农场了。

30分钟的绵羊秀。

现实的绵羊，没有饲料当然不会靠近我们！阿辉伸手状有饲料，绵羊当然上当靠近他，让他拍照咯！

合欢山之行

在往合欢山的途中，我们在几个景点停留拍照。

清水断崖
首先我们先到清水断崖。所谓“清水断崖”主要是指和仁至崇德之间长约12公里的路段，立雾溪口到大清水溪口之间的花莲－苏澳公路上，沿路可看的太平洋海景与峭壁山色。此段公路蜿蜒曲折也是台湾八大奇景之一。

迴头弯也有步道，不过我们没拍很多照片。

钢索及吊桥是供当地原住民所用. 电单车还可以在吊桥上行驶!

西寶國小
离开了清水断崖，我们就去参观了一所蛮特别的小学-西宝国小。西宝国小是一所開放森林教育實驗學校，校舍特殊的院落設計，建築全部採用生態工法，在马来西亚应该找不到吧！听JOE说不少父母希望将自己的孩子送往这所学校读书呢！在这个步伐紧凑的时代，还有这样的学校，还真不错！
想想适耕庄的学校也不错！以前读书时还可以看窗外的稻田，也是另一种享受。跟一些新加坡的同事聊话中告诉他们我的学校靠近稻田，他们也很惊讶。我想，城市小孩是不可能体会的。

西寶小镇一目了然,就只有这些人家.外地来的学生就住宿舍.

石門山
随后，我们驱车向合欢山继续前进。路途中随着海拔升高，雾越来越厚，可见度也越来越短，JOE大哥驾车也显得格外谨慎。

还好当我们到达石門山时，雾群已在我们底下。石門山位在太魯閣國家公園內，高度 3237 公尺，為合歡群峰之一，因日治時代合歡越嶺道鑿開了這座山北稜的岩壁，形成了一個石門，因此就取了这个名字。石門山是台灣最著名的賞雪勝地，登頂約30分鐘，是最容易攻頂的台灣百岳之一。因太久没运动了，加上氧气稀薄，我们花了将近一小时慢慢地龟速爬到山顶。沿途盡是高山鐵杉、白枯木與箭竹林大草原等特有高山景觀，一大片波濤洶湧的云海，层层山稜疊翠，让人震撼不已。

合欢山主峰
下山后，我们前往合欢山主峰。途中，我们在合欢山庄和武嶺拍拍照。武嶺标高3275公尺，号称是台灣公路的最高点，因此武嶺标志成為每位遊客到此的最佳留影地点。

合欢山主峰標高3416公尺，同样的，我们也花了将近一小时攻顶。山顶的寒冷气候真的不是盖的，为了看到日落，我们咬紧牙根等待着。哈哈！皇天不负有心人，终于让我们看到了向往已久的云海夕阳，此时此刻的心情真的是非笔墨能形容。太阳下山后，山上开始暗了，也开始起雾了，我们没拿手电筒，步道也没路灯，趁手脚还没完全冷得僵硬前，我们紧张的靠着月光快步的下山。

安全下了山，我们带着满足的心情前进清境的摘星民宿。合欢山，真的不枉此行！

花莲游 – 花东纵谷之二（二）

第五站：立川渔场

到了立川渔场才知是个人工饲养蚬的场所，还以为是渔场呢！适逢周末，很多父母带小孩郊游。捉一盒蚬NT100，还可以拿给餐馆烹煮自己捉的蚬呢！这门生意的老板点子不错！可以让城市小孩体验亲自捉蚬的乐趣。

第六站：林田山代木文化園區

这里很悠静。林田山以前是伐木区，伐木从山上的火车运下山。现在可以看到当时的火车，轨道，公共电影放映机，还有林田山历史博物馆。

第七站：掃叭石柱

两支石柱的传说。没什么特别。

第八站：午鶴北廻歸線

第九站：瑞穗牧場

瑞穗牧場的奶制品不错，他们的牛奶也可在７－１１找到。

花莲游 – 花东纵谷之一（二）

第一站：柴鱼博物馆

博物馆不允许拍照，所以只拍了一张。过后才得知原来柴鱼是味增汤汤底材料之一，也用于章鱼烧。

第二站：七星潭

天很蓝，水也很蓝，衬托起来很和谐。

第三站：松园别馆

松园别馆约建于1942-1943年，为日军「兵事部」的办公室。里面有很多松树，悠闲静谧。

第四站：鲤鱼谭

一家人郊游的好去处，可以踏船，骑脚踏车，散步。

花莲游（一）

搭了莒光号火车从台北至花莲将近十一点早上了。花莲，我们来了！

这三天的花莲游请了JOE当我们俩的包车司机兼导游。之前以为太鲁阁只是看山水而已，没想到还有峡谷！因为地壳的隆起作用及河水不断的侵蚀切割，使大理石岩外露，形成陡峭的景观，很壮观！有种置身在中国的感觉（不过我还没去过中国啦！）。我的傻瓜相机也无法拍出太鲁阁的美，只能留在脑海里。

我们走了几个步道：砂卡礑步道，綠水合流步道，燕子口步道及九曲洞步道。各步道都有其美处，其中燕子口步道及九曲洞步道是每个游客必到之处。JOE还告诉我们看到溪水最美的时候应该是夏天了，水位高，水也流的急。

在九曲洞步道必须带安全头盔，就像我每天去工地一样。

很久没走这么长的路，很累但很满足。在新加坡这小岛工作让我喘不过气，回到马来西亚就不会吗？还是这只是我一直给自己的借口？

My 2010's Resolution

Talking about year 2010 resolution, I told myself that my 1st resolution is to back punctually at 6.00pm sharp everyday. Possible? To make it possible is only --- change job lo! Simple as that...

I realised i work about 12 hours a day! I was shocked when i computed the total working hours per week. By right, I am only suppose to work 8.5 hours per day!By left, I am not workaholic at all! Only thing is my work cannot finish and there is one "crazy dog" always chasing after me!

I think time for me to think about my work now, if I want to fulfil my 1st Year 2010 resolution!

Nacho Mama 是Nuri Warung 的分店。我们去的时候顾客不多。所以点的食物很快就上座了。这里著名的是SpareRib，也是我们要来这里吃午餐的目的，非大快朵颐非大快朵颐一番！点了一客Spare Rib，太好吃了，再点一客！所以这餐有点超出预算！不得不提的是，Bali的Orange Juice跟Malaysia的不一样，Bali的橙较小粒，有点像柑的味道。

Bebek Bengil (Ubud)

来Bali我们当然不会错过吃著名的脆皮烤鸭餐。这餐厅里面就像是个花园，旁边有稻田，可以一边吃一边看风景，但我们去的季节逢稻米已收割，无缘欣赏（回适耕庄看更美！），再者这里很早就天黑，也无法看稻田风景，有点遗憾啦！

今天早上Check Out Jati 3 Bungalow就回Kuta去了。
第一站：Krisna and Geneva Handicraft Center
Krisna 是Bali的纪念品中心。有卖吃的，穿的，用的。这里的物品价格定价。不喜欢讨价还价的人来这儿买东西最好了，不用杀价！这里卖的衣服及纪念品都很便宜，不像之前我在Sukawati 买东西时杀价要杀个半死，来到这儿价钱差不多而已。

Geneva 手艺中心真的很大，有几层，是批发中心，应有尽有，让人眼花缭乱！之前在Sukawati买了很多东西，所以没在这儿买太多。

接着到Simpang Inn Check In 就到MadeWarung吃午餐了。

第二站：Nusa Dua
填饱肚子后，我们就往Nusa Dua出发了。Nusa Dua的海水跟KutaBeach不太一样。这里的海水比较蓝。

第三站：Uluwatu
天气真的很热，我们只逗留半小时就离开，往Uluwatu出发了。

到了Uluwatu，付了一个人Rp3K的入门票，系上沙龙和黄带，就走向悬崖了。这悬崖真的很壮观，想必日落应该很美吧！

猴子也很多，会抢旅客的东西哦！

Uluwatu 真的很热，我们没等到日落就回Kuta了。打算到Discovery Mall吃晚餐再看日落！Discovery Mall 靠近海边，这间商场也很大，但我没血拼的心情。只在里面的 Celsius Café 看日落享受晚餐，在到附近走走就这样度过在Bali的最后一晚了。。

早上在Ubud区走走。

在做早操的小学生。

在KOU Organic Soup店买有机肥皂，玫瑰味的最香。很喜欢他们的设计，简单大方。

第一站：Pura Taman Ayun, Mengwi

Pura在Bali语称为庙宇，来自梵语，字面上的意思是被墙所围绕的地方。
这里的Meru最高了。Meru在Bali语称为多层塔，塔只能为奇数（Odd Number），最多十一层，表示最重高的崇敬。

这里拍的照片似乎特别美，天很蓝，天气也很热。

第二站：Lake Bratan
离开Pura Taman Ayun后，我们就到Bedegul去了。入门票不便宜，只看湖一个人要Rp 10K。但Lake Bratan很大，很美。我们的相机拍不出心中的愉悦。虽然有太阳，但天气凉凉的，很舒服。

第三站：Pura Ulun Danu （女神庙）
Pura Ulun Danu 很靠近Lake Bratan， 5-10分钟就到了。这庙宇在Lake Bratan 旁边。

第四站：Ubud Palace

今天晚上没什么节目，就Walk In到Verona Spa 做Facial Massage，然后才去Bebek Bengil吃晚餐。

第三站: Kintamani

很多游客会在Kintamani 用餐欣赏风景。这里天气蛮凉快！像金马仑的天气，远处可观望 Lake Batur。我们只在这边走走拍照，烦人的小贩一直纠缠我们买他们兜卖的东西，已经好言拒绝还是死缠烂打。

第四站: Coffee Plantation

去Tenggalalang的途中会经过这儿。这茶园蛮商业化的。来买来看的都是旅客。

原来咖啡也分雄雌。整颗能够瓣成一半的是雌的，整颗圆圆的是雄的。当然，雄咖啡豆价钱是雌咖啡豆的一倍！应该这就是 Nescafe与Starbuck的分别吧！
这里出名的是麝香猫咖啡 - Luwak Coffee,世界上最贵的咖啡！据说麝香猫（Luwak）喜欢挑选咖啡树中最成熟香甜、饱满多汁的咖啡果实当作食物，而咖啡果实经过它的消化系统，被消化掉的只是果实外表的果肉，那坚硬无比的咖啡原豆随后被 Luwak的消化系统原封不动地排出体外。咖啡果肉在果子狸消化系统中的胃酸和酵素发酵，再经过炒/烘培后就形成磨制咖啡的咖啡豆，促使这种咖啡具有糖浆般的浓稠，口感醇厚和润滑。

老实说，我不懂品尝咖啡，所以没试Luwak Coffee，Rp 30K一杯。试了几种免费咖啡，我还是比较喜欢ginger tea和 lemon grass tea.

蛇皮果（Buah Salak）- 以前吃过，有点涩。

第五站: Tenggalalang

去Tenggalalang的路途有点崎岖。我们来的季节恰好刚播种，没机会看到绿油油的稻田。终于看到梯田了，真的跟适耕庄很不一样，心情真的很轻松。原本想到Café 喝茶欣赏梯田，但不想太迟回旅舍，所以作罢罗！

回到Jati3 Bungalow，向他们约7 点钟做Spa，再到Pizza Bagus吃晚餐。店如其名，就是可以吃Piazza罗！在Bali 的美食篇就稍后再写吧！

我们选了一小时半的Mandi Lulur Spa，一个人Rp100 K。按摩后真的很舒服！加上Ubud凉快的天气，没开冷气就睡着了！

1000 Days Anniversary

Me and Hooi both are those type that lazy to celebrate during Valentine, Christmas, Birthday, anniversary and so on...

To my surprise, Hooi dated me to go Esimrada at Chijmes that near City Hall. He told me that we had not been going for good food such an age. His colleague, Grace recommended this place to him. I never suspected anything fishy and agreed we would go there for dinner.

We asked for bills before we left. The waiter passed me 1 white box and told me it was the gift from my boyfriend, Hooi! I was stunned! Neither was my birthday, nor anniversary?? I still did not get Hooi until he wish me HAPPY 1000 days anniversary!!..Oh i c, is our 1000 days anniversary..

Such a surprise I really touch!

Bali Trip Day 2 (Part 1)

Bali很早就天亮了。吃了早餐后就到Kuta Beach走走。从Kuta Inn走到海边约10分钟。时间还早，海边没什么人。

随处可见的贡品。

经过麦当劳看到滑浪的麦当劳叔叔。再向前走就是Hard Rock Hotel.我们进去拍照。没得住这里，看看过瘾也好！

九点钟约了司机，只在沙滩逗留一下就回Kuta Inn checked out他。反正最后一天还会回到Kuta。
第一站：Sukawati 血拼
这里杀价要敢敢来，先杀个70巴仙，那里的小贩肯定说不行，再个50巴仙。如果是你心目中的底价就成交，不然就走人。反正还有别档嘛！

血拼完就去吃闻名的Ibu Oka Babi Guling (Suckling Pig). 我们吃的是在新分行。总店在Ubud Palace隔壁。
今天 check in Jati3 Bungalow,会在这里住2天。

第二站：Tirta Empul （圣泉庙）
这寺庙环绕一处圣泉而建故名。一千多年来, 巴厘岛人认为此庙以及此地两处可供沐浴的地方可供求取健康和财富。这里的泉水据称颇具疗效。圣泉庙建筑模宏大、完整，在这里可以看到巴厘岛所有寺庙的特点。

巴厘岛寺庙的出入口由两个精雕分隔大门构成，称为Candi Bentar。Candi Bentar两侧矗立着寺庙的守护神，左右两侧分别代表善与恶。

Bali Trip (25-29 Aug 09) Day 1

从巴厘岛回来已经一个星期了。五天四夜的行程不长不短，恰好！

抵达 Ngurah Rai机场已经一点了。约十分钟就抵达 Kuta，check in Kuta Inn （超烂的住宿）就往Bamboo Corner 医肚子了。

这次的行程请了当地司机，行程就由我们策划。用司机三天半，共 1.1millions Rp。

第一站：Bajra Sandhi Monument
巨型石雕纪念塔，亦称“巴厘岛人民抗争纪念塔”，宏伟高大。塔顶可鸟瞰整个Denpasar。纪念馆里有以人像塑像的透视手法讲述了巴厘岛的历史。

第二站：Tanah Lot （海神庙）

约一个小时的车程就抵达了。

到达海神庙时，烈日当空，还是人山人海，好多游客！今天我们可以看到美丽的日落了！

六点半太阳就下完山了！自从三年前没在邦各岛工作后就没看日落了，真怀念那时的日子！

再回 Kuta将近八点了。我们直接在 Warung 96 吃晚餐，在Kuta区走走再到 Bomb Monument。Bomb Monument是专门为纪念2002年202名爆炸遇难者而建的,全部遇难者的姓名被镌刻在纪念碑上，遇难者大多数为澳洲人。

我这附近买了gelato ice cream作今晚的宵夜！

太平记- 美食

距离上一次到太平已靠近两年了。大街没什么改变，只是开了Tesco, Giant 和Taiping Central。之前在网上找了太平美食，再加上阿辉是本地人，交通当然不是问题。

第一站：白龄茶餐室
海鲜粥（RM7）一人份

好吃！有鲜虾有鱼片。但在这个小地方一碗粥这个价钱我觉得有点小贵。

第二站：联通茶室
面包蛋 2+2 （RM2.40）
鲜榨桔子水（RM1.50）

2+2 的意思是两片面包加两粒鸡蛋。面包蛋的卖相不是很好看，但吃起来不错！如果是农村鸡蛋就更好了。这茶餐室是halal的，也有马来人和印度人在这里吃早餐。

第三站：有利茶餐室
炸鸡扒（RM6.50）一人份
只是普通的炸鸡扒。吃完后我们就走路去斜对角吃cendol.

第四站：Restoren Ansari Famous Cendol

记得N年前第一次和大学好友来太平Ghee Sin 就是带我们来这里吃cendol和pasembur。老板上过报纸！口碑应该很好吧！我们太迟来，cendol pulut 已经完了，pasembur的档口也关了，所以只叫了两碗cendol biasa。

过后阿辉的爸爸告诉我们另一间Bismillah的cendol会比较好吃。

其实还有很多找到的美食但几天的时间没办法一一尝完，就留到下一次吧！后会有期！

Caravanserai in Turkey

A “caravanserai”, was a roadside inn built to shelter travelers, goods and animals along ancient routes and was especially known to be linked with the trade routes along the former Silk Roads. We were still able to find caravanserai in Turkey. Some were modified to be restaurants, museum or hotels. We visited one caravanserai restaurant for lunch.

We did not able to capture too many food photo in Turkey. When we realized to take photo the food almost finished le!

Since we don’t take beef, along our stay in Turkey we only eat chicken or fish. Actually pork is not illegal in Turkey but is still very hard to find.

Basically our breakfast was taken in the hotel with western buffet style. There were various types of cheese, bread and salad. Bread is omnipresent in Turkey. Any given meal would be presents with a basket of bread and soup followed by salad and finally main course. As if we were in Europe taking meal, haha!

Previously I thought kebab was only referred to meat shaved from a rotating spit as what we always see in pasar malam. After few days in Turkey, I asked our tour guide why we never had the chance to eat kebab, he laughed and explained to me that there are many types of kebab. Kebab is a general term for the grilled meat in various forms, including the famous one, grilled meat which is shaved from a rotating spit, skewered meat and some other forms of grilled meat. I see! All the way I thought only 1 type of kebab!

To me, majority desserts in Turkey are too sweet! Famous dishes such as Baklava (a layered pastry of finely ground nuts soaked in honey and spice, Lokum (gummy delight of rosewater and sugar) and many others which I couldn’t recall their names.

Flight to Bali

Last 2 days Hooi received a sms from Airasia that our flight to Bali on 25 Aug 09 depart at 10am has been postponed to 4pm while our flight back from Bali has been changed too without any notice to us. We were so disappointed that we lost almost 1 day in Bali. Meaning that we go to bali 5 days, stay there 4 night but only travel there 3 full days. After telling my friend, Adeline about our case, she told me must call and clarify with Airasia what is the reason of the changes in flight time and told me whether can get anything from Airasia to pacify us. No harm give a try! At first i was thinking that budget airline sure will just ignore us!I agree with her too we should at least give a call to Airasia to clarify.

I told Hooi we should call Airasia. He did call and is really work! He told the Airasia's operator that the changes of time to and fro has caused inconvenient to us. To our surprise, we never thought that they are willing to change the flight back to 10am again and back from Bali at 1pm in the afternoon.

We are quite satified. However, is it that easy that change the time without any additional charge? Will it be the case where we reach to the airport that time but no seat for us? I am still a bit puzzle! Is it the process too smooth until unbelievable?

Bosphorus River Cruise - Day 9

We used ferryboat as the Bosphorus River Cruise . I had to say that the scenery along Bosphorus River was fantastic! It was an approximately 1 1/2 hours cruise.

Initially we still hesitated whether to take the Cruise because it was an optional tour. Kun used to recommended the cruise is a must-go spot in my blog. So we finally decided to go for the Cruise and it wasn't disappointed us!

Along the shoreline, we are able to see the beautiful mosque included Tokapi Palace, decadent villas which are now become the most expensive villa in Turkey, the suspended Bosporus Bridge, some fishing boats, yachts, huge cargo ships and tankers.

Labrador

This morning I saw LL, Adeline and Rosene with their casual attire!LL then invited me to go Labrador Park that near our site. I wished to join LL to Labrador Park to see sea grass and seaweed during low tide since last year. However, every time sure something on and ended up I cannot make it. Today just happened my boss, CK was on holiday in Taiwan, of course I will seize the chance to go there. After borrowed aqua boots, we departed to Labrador Park.

According to LL, our site used to transplant corals near to Labrador Park due to submarine services diversion work in our site. Today the lowest tide was 0.1mCD, therefore we were able to see intertidal creatures and plants!

Frankly speaking I do not know the difference of seaweed and sea grass. Both physically look same to me. We was told by LL that seaweed are algae, do not have flowers, fruits, roots and they have hold fasts that cling on to a support instead. Sea grass is a kind of flowering plant and has a root system which can absorb water and nutrients.

Hairy Crab has fine hairs coverings its body. It is an effective means to camouflage! Really hard to locate the crab if we didn't aware!

Sponges rely on maintaining a constant water flow through their bodies to obtain food and oxygen and to remove wastes, and the shapes of their bodies are adapted to maximize the efficiency of the water flow.

Sea Grape. Sea grape got its name from the clusters shaped like grapes which the plant has.Heard that in some countries it can be eaten. I was thinking will the taste of the sea grape salty since it was grown in sea condition? However, we still dare not try.

The tide rose very fast. So we departed back to site around 10am. Although only an hour short trip, it was a fruitful trip to me.

Mind Cafe

I had missed out to blog the gathering in Mind Cafe few weeks ago. Mind Cafe is a board game cafe base in Singapore, where I think is a good place for families, colleagues and friends to meet up for board games over snacks and drinks.

Adeline was the one that came out with the idea going there. My first question to her was: "Is the game need to think much? I prefer brainless game ler! Work so stress already still need to think ar?" She told me: "Don't worry, I also play brainless game!" Great! Lip Yung cannot make it cause he already had appointment go to 'roll ball' with his friends! Finally, Adeline, Ma Yin, Terrence, Lee Lian and me met up in Mind Cafe at Boat Quay in Sunday afternoon. We chose Mind Cafe at Boat Quay caused had promotion for Happy Hours - 5 hours with free flow of drinks for only $7.50.

It was quite fun to have this type of cafe for gathering. Most of the games we did not know how to play, so we asked the attendant to recommend "brainless games" and taught us how to play.

Farewell Cum Gathering at Korean Restaurant

Last week had farewell with Toshik, Ma Yin and Adeline in a Korean Restaurant not too far from our site. Toshik had got a new job offer while Ma Yin and Adeline are going to finish their 6 months internship in our site.

That was a typical Korean restaurant which all the attendants were Korean. We ordered pork, chicken, beef barbecues and seafood soup. The meal was just like gathering. Something funny to share were we saw something like sweet on the table. We are so ‘sua gu" that we did not know what is that. We asked the attendant and she told us to shower water on those “sweets”. Terrence aka Pai Kia had volunteered to shower water on those sweets. Then slowly we saw the sweets started to swell/bulging. Wow!Finally we knew those ‘sweets' was actually wet towel! Stunned!

Tokapi Palace
Tokapi Palace is near to Hippodrome and the Blue Mosque. Since Tokapi Palace was closed on last Tuesday, we visited it when we back to Istanbul again. There were few museums inside but i think took us more than 1/2 a day if we go into each of them one by one. As usual museum in Turkey, we are not allowed to take photo in the musuems.

Spice Bazaar
The Spice Bazaar in Istanbul, is one of the oldest bazaars and 2nd largest covered shopping after the Grand Bazaar. Spices, dried fruits, nuts and seeds, lokum (Turkish delight) and other edibles food filled most of the shops. Jeweleries and potteries can be seen there too.

Cappadocia –Ankara (Day 7)

One of the famous features in Cappadocia is hot air balloon. We did not take hot air balloon because it was too expensive (at least to us), USD200 per pax.

The journey from Cappadocia to Ankara took about 6 hours. On the way, we stopped by Tuz Lake or Salt Lake, the second largest lake in Turkey.

The saline lake very shallow, only within 0.5-1.0meter most of the year. The lake has no outlet and few surface streams feed into it. The lake was so big that I can’t see the edge.

Ataturk Mausoleum
The only tourist spot we visited in Ankara was Ataturk Mausoleum, the mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the leader of Turkish War of Independence -the founder and first president of the Republic of Turkey. There was also a museum displayed Ataturk’s personal items, his wardrobe, and some of the gifts presented to him are on display in this museum. Ataturk's medals, decorations and some personal items donated to the museum by his adopted children are also exhibited in the museum. We are not allowed to take photo in the museum. His pictures and statues can be easily seen in Turkey.

Cappadocia (Day 6)

Once, Cappadocia was in the middle of volcanic region. Over many millions of years, volcanoes, wind, rain and ice sculptured erosion form up to be nowadays what we can see in Cappadocia. The local people called these unique rock formation as “fairy chimney”. Ancient man carved the rocks and built houses, church and also underground city.

Kaymakli Underground City
There are about 40 underground cities in Cappadocia. The widest one is Kaymakli underground city, while the deepest is Derinkuyu Underground City.
Kaymakli (Enegup in Greek) people built their homes around the underground city tunnels for security reason. Kaymakli Underground City has 8 storey and able to accommodate 5000 peoples to live in it, 4 storey is open yet. The deepest point of the visit is below 20 meters. There are rooms and halls connecting to each other with narrow corridor, wine tanks, water cistern, kitchen and food stores, ventilation chimneys, water wells, churches and large lock stones for any danger from out. Ancient people are so smart.

We would definitely lost if we passing through the weird chambers and down sloping tunnels without any sign, just like we are in the labyrinth. And we have to tell each other ‘watch your head” when we ducked into some of the cave. A red arrow sign shows the way farther down and a blue arrows show exit.

Goreme Open Air Museum
There are more than 10 cave churches in the Göreme Open Air Museum with beautiful frescoes (wall paitings) whose colors still retain all their original freshness. All the churches in Goreme Open Air Museum belong to the 10th, 11th and 12th centuries. We did not visit the entire cave churches. Maybe I am not a Christian, that why I couldn’t figure and understand the figure on those frescoes, I only know Jesus, haha! However, I tried to understand the character and history through tour guide’s explanation.

Pamukkale - Konya - Cappadocia (Day 5)

We departed from Pamukkale at 6am. Our tour guide told us we the journey from Pamukkale to Cappadonia would be 12 hours and we will stop at Konya to visit Mevlana Museum.

On the way to Konya, we stopped by one rest station. There was a statue with a donkey in front of the rest station. The funny part was the statue mounted opposite of the way of the donkey, sound funny rite? Our tour guide told us that the turbaned man with the pot-belly on the donkey was Nasreddin Hodja. Hodja said his donkey guided him the front road, so he had to sit opposite way so that he can help the donkey to see what happen behind! Haha!

Hodja (in Turkish "hoca" means both teacher and religious leader) was a religious teacher and occasionally as a judge in local dispute. He was sometimes wise and foolish, have the sense of humour and optimistic. He is famous among Turkish folk tales. Maybe you don’t know who Hodja is, but if I tell you Effendi (阿凡提) sure you will know. I used to read a lot of his stories when I was still a kid.

After visited Mevlana Museum, we continue our journey. About 6.10pm, finally we reached Cappadocia. Tonight we will try up Turkich Bath.

Turkish Bath (Hamam)
Came to Turkey, of course we won’t miss the opportunity to try Turkish bath, although not really cheap, USD40. Guys and Girls were separated into two different rooms.

First, I was brought to a warm room like sauna for 15 minutes. The attendant asked me to lay on a marble bench. She wore a coarse glove and scrubbed all over my body to remove the dead skin. After scrubbing she just bathed me with warm water then asked to lay on a heated big round marble table in the center of the room. The marble table was hotter than in the sauna. She started to use a thin cloth and blow through it to create bubbles. I was covered from head to toe with white frothy bubbles. I can feel my sweat dripping! At the same time she did massage all over my body. Then I entered a Jacuzzi pool. Wow, its fantastic!

The bath took about one and half hours. Due to the weather at night, I felt very cool after taken the bath. But after served with the apple tea, my body became warm! The drink was served on time!

昨天在JB City Square 遇见毕业后就没见面的三个学妹 - 艾丽，静茹和燕妮.他们分别在新加坡工作及读书。

现在的话题不外是在什么公司上班，生活如何之类的。交谈之下才知大家竟已成宅女了。周末没出门就拼命追连续剧，再不然就倒头大睡。自从来新加坡工作后，没能像以往一样，将近每周末必回家，新加坡也没什么地方，不外是大型小型的购物商场。我不想浪费时间在商场上，现在演变成宅女了。其实宅女也没什么不好啦！只是有时追完戏了没事做就看旧戏罗！像我现在就看着 Prison Beak Season One，蛮旧吧！

House of Virgin Mary

Many Christians and Muslims believed that Mary, the mother of Jesus, was live in the house in the final years of her life on earth. Inside the house, we can only see a room and altar. However, since we are not allowed to take photo, so we only take photo outside the house.

At the exit of the House of Virgin Mary, can be seen a lot of people drinking ‘Water of Mary’ which believed have curative properties. The water is cooling.

Further to the said ‘sacred water’ we pass by the prayer hall which is full of tissues. People are making their wishes on tissue and tie it up there. Both of us also do the same thing, write our wish on tissue and tie on the wall.

Ephesus, was the trade centre of the ancient world and a religious centre of the early Christianity. Nowadays, Ephesus is an important tourism centre in Turkey. It is one of the world’s most outstanding archeological sites.

First amphitheater can be found as we walk in from one of the entrance. It was used as meeting rooms and concerts with capacity of 1500 people.

The Gate of Heracles

Prytaneion
The sculptural figuration which is prominent there represents Winged Nike, the Goddess of Victory, while she holds a plaited crown in her left hand. Can you see the logo?

Fountain of Trajan
The original structure reached 12m height. Now we can only see the reconstruction in a reduced scale.

Temple of Hadrian
The Temple of Hadrian has a beautiful arch on the front facade and interesting reliefs. The interior of the facade is decorated with panels of reliefs along the top.

We saw public toilet with stone seats above a channel! There were no divisions or partitions between seats. Hmm, never thought of this "activity" can be that opened! The ancient people sure very skinny too!

Library of Celsus
The facade of the Library of Celsus is one of the most beautifully reconstructed structures in Ephesus.

Great Theater
Great Theater rises 30m (100 feet) high and can seat 25,000 people. There are magnificent views to be seen from the top. Most of the marble paving and some lower elements of the backdrop remain on the stage.
The theatre was used not only for concerts and plays, but also for religious, political and philosophical discussions and for gladiator and animal fights.

Then, we proceed our journey to Pamukkale.

Pamukkale (Cotton Castle)

Pamukkale is one of the most important highlights of Turkey, unique in the world like cascades white castle. "Pamukkale" in Turkish means "cotton castle", parallel to the glorious and spectacular view of the site. The layers of white calcium carbonate, built up in steps on the plateau. It resembles Huanglong in China but Cotton Castle no longer as beautiful as before the area is being developed in the late 20th century i.e. construction, noise and pollution etc. UNESCO has made effort to restore the site. Therefore, nowadays the scene has lost nothing of its former attractions, different from I saw in the photo through internet. Many pools are empty and only part of the pool filled with warm water. I am a bit disappointed when I saw Pamukkale myself.

Yesil Camii (Green Mosque)
Bursa is the 4th largest city in Turkey after Istanbul, Ankara and followed by Izmir. Bursa has been the center of sericulture and silk production since the 15th Century, producing silk cloth and also silk threads for the silk carpets.
This morning, again, we visit Yesil Camii (Green Mosque). It takes its name from the green-blue tiles of the interior. It includes a mosque, madrassa, bath house and soup kitchen.

Note:A mihrab is a niche in the wall of a mosque that indicates the direction of the Kaaba in Mecca and hence the direction that Muslims should face when praying.

Outside the mosque, we see some souvenir stalls selling postcard and evil eye key chain. Evil eye is an amulet very typical in Turkey. It can find it all over Turkey as a bracelet, earring or necklace or Turkish people use it hanged in their house, office and also at their car. It is mainly blue and looks like an eye. There are very different sizes but the shape is usually round. Once an evil eye is found cracked, a new one has to replace it so that have new amulet to protect you. I like to collect magnet wherever I visit a place, no exception to this trip too. I bought some evil eye and Istanbul magnets.

After visit 3 mosques (actually AyaSofya has become a museum but to me it is still like a museum) , I started to feel bored although all mosques have their own history and architectural value. It is quite different and unique actually. Then, our tour guide told us the 4th mosque we are going to visit later will be the last mosque in our Turkey trip.

Ulu Camii (The Great Mosque)
Ulu Camii (The Great Mosque) is the last mosque we visited in Turkey, also the largest mosque in Bursa with the most striking example of Ottoman art and impressive calligraphic wall decorations. The mosque is still in use. We saw Muslims praying at one of the corner in the mosque, so we have to keep as quiet as possible when we were inside the mosque. Same as in The Blue Mosque, we had to remove our shoes before enter the mosque. Different with other mosque, all the ladies that enter this have to wear scarf. If you do not bring scarf, the scarf will be provided in the mosque. Due to hygiene purpose, I still prefer to bring my own scarf. This reminds me of the mosque in Putrajaya that I visited when I was studied in Uni. That time all ladies that enter the mosque must wear jubah and scarf (tudung) which is pink in colour.

Koza Han
We proceed to Koza Han, which means the "silk cocoon market", is located at the back of Koza Park where many nice outdoor cafes can be found. It is composed of an inner courtyard surrounded by two stories of shops. Koza Han was built in 1491 and it was used as a caravanserai and a silk market because Bursa was the last stop on the great Silk Road from China.

Turkish deliver tea or called Cay shop by shop, although you only order 1 glass.We saw the same scene in Grand Bazaar and Spice Market too. The glass is a bit smaller but the size is cute. Normally they will give you 2 cubes of sugar. Actually I feel Turkish like sweet stuff a lot. Hardly found Turkish delight that are not too sweet.

Normally 1 glass for 1 Turkish Lira(TL).

After lunch, we drive to Kusadasi, a town on the Aegeon Coast of Turkey and stay one night there.

Istanbul - Bursa

We arrived Istanbul around 8am. After taken our luggage we follow our tour guide and leader head to the 1st destination. The weather in April was nice, day time around 15-22 C.

The Blue Mosque (Sultanahmet Camii)
The Blue Mosque was the 1st destination we visited in Istanbul. Camii known as mosque in Turkish.

The Blue Mosque is one of the most beautiful mosques in the world and one of very few to have six minarets. This is very unique, as most mosques have four, two or just one minaret. The Blue Mosque was commissioned by Sultan Ahmet I as a rival to AyaSofya (one of the famous historical museum in Istanbul). Construction on the mosque began in 1609 and took seven years to complete. According to one account, the Sultan directed his architect to make gold (altin) minarets, which was misunderstood as six (alti) minarets. The mosque located just next to AyaSofya in Istanbul. Entrance is free. To enter the mosque, we are required to remove our shoes.

Hippodrome
Hippodrome was once the horse racing and chariot racing ground in the ancient time. Now it is maintained by the Turkish authorities. The surviving monuments of the Spina (the middle barrier of the racecourse), the two obelisks and the Serpentine Column can be seen in the garden.

April is the blooming season for Tulips. We saw beautiful tulips in the garden around Hippodrome. So beautiful with different colour! Haha, I think if I do not have the chance to see tulips in Holland also doesn’t matter ler!

Aya Sofya (Hagia Sophia)
Aya Sofya just located right next to Topkapi Palace, the Blue Mosque and the Hippodrome. The Church of the Holy Wisdom, known as Hagia Sophia in Greek, and Ayasofya or Aya Sofya in Turkish, is a former Byzantine church and former Ottoman mosque in Istanbul. Now a museum, Aya Sofya is universally acknowledged as one of the great buildings of the world. It became a model for many of the Ottoman mosques of Istanbul such as the Blue Mosque.

Since Topkapi Palace closed on Tuesday, so we have to visit it on the day when we back to Istanbul again.

After the few famous spots in Istanbul, we departed by ferry to Yalova, then drove to Bursa for overnight. The ferry only took ½ hour to Yalova. All the vehicles were in the ferry, just like our ferry in Penang.

我们随旅行团从新加坡出发，行程只集中在土耳其中部及北部，随逆时钟而行。
